When Tom and Alice got engaged and asked me to design their wedding stationery

I jumped at the chance.

Alice has been my best friend for over 30 years, so I knew the couple very well and wanted the

design to feel personal and meaningful to them. I drew inspiration from their story and the places that have shaped their lives together.

They met at Bristol University. Bristol is famous for its spectacular hot-air balloon displays. I combined this idea with the London skyline, reflecting the city where they were getting married and now live.

The result was a design that brought together both elements of their story — the balloons

representing where their journey began, and the London skyline representing the life they have built together.
